Source: Board of directors appoints Akimov as Russian Post CEO
MOSCOW, Feb 4 (PRIME) -- The board of directors of Russian Post has appointed former Deputy Prime Minister Maxim Akimov as CEO, and former CEO Nikolai Podguzov was appointed as first deputy CEO, a source familiar with the decision told PRIME on Tuesday.
“Yes, (the board) has already appointed (Akimov as CEO). Podguzov is now his first deputy,” the source said.
Akimov also left the position of chairman of the company’s board of directors. The source said that Maxim Oreshkin, aide to President Vladimir Putin and former economic development minister may chair the board, but there is no official government decision yet.
